It used to be difficult remembering to grab my reusable bags when going inside the local supermarket. Now I make sure to grab them. The first time I used them, I felt a sense of pride refusing the cashier’s offer of plastic bags, replying, “No thanks, I brought bags.” To my surprise she counted the three bags and then deducted 5 cents from my bill for each bag. That quick I saved 15 cents. I had been riding around with these reusable bags in my trunk for some time, never knowing I was missing out on savings. It feels great doing my small part to protect the environment, while saving a few cents at the same time!
