In February 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (also known as, ARRA, the Recovery Act, or simply the stimulus). Through the Recovery Act, the Energy Department invested more than $31 billion to support a wide range of clean energy projects across the nation — from investing in the smart grid and developing alternative fuel vehicles to helping homeowners and businesses reduce their energy costs with energy efficiency upgrades and deploying carbon capture and storage technologies.
Seven years later, the Energy Department provided an update on just how those efforts have improved the country’s clean energy future. Below is a clever video of the clean energy revolution we’ve experienced over the last seven years.
